Dromaequine Welfare
Lip docking is an unethical cosmetic procedure once used to give Dromaequines a more intimidating and aggressive appearance.
The procedure involves removing part or all of the lip tissue, leaving the gums and teeth permanently exposed. Originally performed by some owners seeking a more “dangerous” look, lip docking provides no benefit to the Dromaequine and instead causes unnecessary pain and long-term complications.
Lip docking is considered an unacceptable practice and has been officially banned.
Affected Dromaequines may experience chronic soreness, difficulty keeping their mouths comfortable, excessive drooling, and increased sensitivity around the exposed areas.
Despite its ban, illegal cases still occur, particularly among individuals attempting to alter a Dromaequine’s appearance for status or intimidation.
Modern Dromaequine welfare organizations strongly oppose the procedure and encourage the rehabilitation and protection of affected individuals.
